Adobe has released the latest versions of Lightroom and Camera Raw. Both come with a mix of bug fixes and support for new cameras. You can download the updates HERE.

Lightroom 3.6 Bugs – Fixed

- Rapid advancement through the grid can make the preview processor die
- Lightroom does not write to the correct metadata fields after editing capture time
- Lightroom crashes when saving keyword to file
- Certain JPG files appear to unsupported or damaged upon import into Lightroom
- Publish to HD fails in LR 3.5 for publish collections created in 3.3 or earlier
- Entering a custom aspect ratio in Quick Develop leaves the Crop Ratio menu black
- Default scrolling behavior on OSX 10.7 makes non-scrolling mousewheel actions work backwards (Mac only)
- Incorrect aspect ratio displayed in menu when crop is copy/pasted or applied via Previous button in the Develop module (Mac only)
- Copy/Pasted Crop Aspect Ratio lost on edit
- Copy/Pasted/Previous crop loses aspect ratio lock when adjusted in the Develop module
- Tethering doesn’t work with the Nikon D3x
- Error thrown when exporting video from slideshow and Lightroom is running as a 32-bit application

These items have been FIXED in Camera Raw 6.6:
- New camera profiles for Nikon D3, D3000, D3000s, and D700 to address issues with highlight posterization
- ACR 6.5 clicking “Choose target folder button makes APD frozen (Mac only)
It’s possible that Lightroom crashes when saving keyword to file
- Fuji S200 rendering highlights with green cast
- Scrolling can perform too fast when using the trackpad
- Snapshops don’t reset when in local corrections only with global corrections
- Fixed issue red eye reduction for images converted to B & W.
- Fixed issue with overcorrection of vignette.
- Fixed issue with color noise reduction at extreme color temperatures.
- Fixed issue with noise reduction when using local exposure adjustment.

Adobe – Latest Product Updates

After some serious debate, my wife and I have decided to push back our trip to Mt. Everest and Nepal to April of 2011 and instead focus our Fall on Patagonia. On October 20th, we will fly to Chile and prepare to spend 14 days traveling through the Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile and Los Glaciares National Park in Argentina. A good friend of mine and an amazing photographer, Jon Cornforth was kind enough to let me publish some of his photography work from the region so that you could get an idea of the landscapes I will be documenting come this fall. Love, like life, sometimes seems to be this intangible experience that we all know is part of our existence, but we just can’t seem to wrap our heads around what it actually is. For thousands of years, the human species have tried to define love.

What is love? Why does it make us do the things we do? and more importantly where can we find it?

The reality of love is that it is full of complexities. It is unique and yet abundant. Beautiful and yet Painful. Undefinable and yet so specific at times.

Love is everything and everyone. It is all around us and within us. Love is in nature, on the street, in the ocean and even in our sleep.

As we go through life we sometimes latch onto these ideas of what we think love is, of what we think our special someone is going to be like or what our “dream job” would be and while most of my friends would probably call me a dreamer, I have come to realize that life, like love, is so far beyond our wildest imaginations that they don’t even come close to how amazing they both are. Today marks the one year anniversary of the day I met the woman that changed my l life, Sarah. Henry David Thoreau once said, “Our truest lives are when we are in dreams awake”. That has to be true because every morning that I wake up next to Sarah, I swear I must be dreaming. Happy Anniversary Baby!

This photos was taken near Turret Arch in Arches National Park one morning last Spring. The clouds offered a unique backdrop to the blue skies that helped give the silhouette of this beautiful rock.

While this year I am thankful for the photography trips that I have had the opportunity to take this year, I am also thank full for days like today, relaxing at home with those that I love. In anticipation of my coming adventure next year, I felt it was the perfect opportunity to watch one of my favorite movies of all time, “The Goonies”. There is no better movie out there for those of you that love adventure as much as I do. If you haven’t seen it in a while, run to blockbuster and pick it up. Like a nice wine, it only gets better with age.
