Waterfall in Southern Patagonia in Los Glaciares National Park - Argentina(click on the image to see a high resolution version)

This photo was taken in Los Glaciares National Park in Southern Argentina. While hiking up to the lookout above Lago Torre, my wife and I heard the distinct sound of a flowing waterfall on the other side of the ridge we were walking on. Eventually a path opened up and we were treated with one of the most beautiful waterfalls I had ever seen. Stretching for kilometers up Mt. Techado Negro, it presented a plethora of photographic opportunities. We spent the next two hours shooting and this photo is just one in a series of images that I plan on releasing in the coming days.

Camera: Canon 5D Mark II
Lens: Canon 24-70 2.8L IS w/ B+W 6 Stop ND Filter

Photo of the Day: “Yosemite Falls”

Yosemite Falls in Spring Black and White, California, Yosemite National Park

“Yosemite Falls Black & White” was taken this past Spring from the always beautiful Yosemite National Park in California. Each season offers very different and unique experiences when visiting the park. Spring is the best time to visit the park in my opinion as all of the waterfalls are gushing. This photo was taken with my Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 70-200 2.8L IS II Lens while mounted to a tripod. If you look closely you can see both Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls.

“Painted Falls” – Semuc Champey, Guatemala – 2010

“Painted Falls” was taken in the incredibly beautiful and somewhat untraveled natural wonder of Semuc Chmpey in Guatemala. Four-teen miles from Lanquin, in the Verapaces region, the Semuc Champey natural pools are a must see if you ever visit Guatemala. This photo was taken handheld with a Canon 5D Mark II and a can 70-200 2.8L Lens. I attached my B+W 9 Stop Neutral Density filter, which allowed me to use an incredibly slow shutter speed even though it was taken in mid morning. I slightly moved my hands in a circular motion durring the exposure, effectively creating the dream like/water feeling of the entire image. I hope you enjoy!
