Description
The Beyond Exposure workshop experience is designed to help you make your artistic vision a photographic reality. Award-winning professional photographers Colby Brown, Varina Patel, and Jay Patel will walk you through the intricacies of the photographic process – from the equipment they carry on-location, to the processing techniques they use to finish their images in the digital darkroom.
All Beyond Exposure workshops are broken up into two separate all day sessions, covering both intro and advanced topics respectively. Participants can sign up to attend one or both classes – and are invited to attend an exclusive Photo Walk at the end of day 1.
Day 1 -Introduction to Photography
If you just getting into photography or wish to further refine the foundation of your photography skills, then this sessions is for you. We begin with an introduction to photography and the equipment professionals use on-location. The morning session will be packed with tips and tricks for improving composition, using histograms, and keeping your photos organized and easily accessible. We will give in depth presentations on how to best use Adobe Bridge or Lightroom to help you improve your own workflow process. In the afternoon, students will learn about some of the best and commonly used features in Photoshop with clear workflowdemonstrations from the pros. An exclusive evening photo walk will be open to registered students. This is a rare and excellent opportunity for hands-on learning!
Day 2 – Advanced Post Processing Techniques
Our advanced session is all about taking your post-processing skills to the next level! This is an incredible opportunity to learn about some of the more advanced techniques using the best software available – from professionals with years of experience. You’ll learn about layers and masks, manual blending of multiple images, and plugins that can help you bring out the best in your photographs. Varina, Jay, and Colby will share their processing workflow – from start to finish – with clear examples, tips and tricks, and suggestions for improving productivity.
