As a professional travel photographer, there is no shortage of incredible locations around the world that I am fortunate to get the opportunity to explore and experience first hand. From climbing mountain peaks in the Himalayas to swimming with sharks in the Galapagos to watching active volcanoes in Iceland. However, for the longest time the remote and wild island paradise of Christmas Island had been on my bucket list. Why? There are few places in the world that are as beautiful and inspiring as Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California.
