  • The Sand Viper (otherwise known as Cerastes vipera) lives in the deserts of Northern Africa and spends its time hiding in the sand to catch it's prey. Always remember, many snakes like vipers are "venomous" and not "poisonous", but most snakes out there are totally harmless.

  • Elephants are INCREDIBLE! Did you know that 🐘 are the world's largest land animals? That they can reach up to 13ft tall and weigh over 14,000 lbs? What about that they use their ears for cooling or that their trunks have over 40,000 muscles.

What are your favorite African elephant facts?
  • The ongoing search for the world's most adorable animal continues with a return visit with the Fennec Fox, North Africa's most absurdly cute species.

So what do you think?
  • What is the world's most adorable baby animal? It could be this three week old Gorilla. These young great apes have so much in common with our own offspring. You can find them in the mountains of Eastern Africa, between Uganda, Rwanda and the Congo.

How adorable are they?

  • Watching two male Gazelles battle it out in the grasslands of East Africa is always incredible. This species is known as "Grant's Gazelles". They are one of the larger species of gazelle antelope that inhabit parts of East Africa.
  • Being in Africa and seeing the Circle of Life play out is an unforgettable experience. Check out this Grey Heron struggling to land this Catfish.

  • It is pretty incredible to see two young 🦒 "Necking". They push, shove and hit each other in a practice known as "Necking". Doing this as an adolescent allows them to practice and prepare for the battles ahead as they try to establish dominance as an adult.

  • There is always something special when it comes to experiencing a wild African elephant walking towards you. These gentle creatures are the surveyors of the African grasslands.

Have you seen an 🐘 in the Wild?
  • I would like to introduce one of the most beautiful Tanagers in the world, the Bay-headed Tanager. They can be found in parts of Central and South America and are often found in pairs. They are known for their vibrant blue, green and brown colors.

I just love the slow motion shots of the rain falling in the background.
