  • A portrait of one of my favorite birds on the planet...the Atlantic Puffin. They always look adorable!

  • An incredible sunset over Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia. This region of the world can be incredibly challenging weather wise, but when the clouds, rain and the wind part, the final experience can be unbelievable!

  • There is something truly magical about the Salar de Uyuni! For just a few months each year, the largest salt flats in the world fill with a thin amount of water, allowing for insane reflections all around you. This is where the saying, "Where the Earth meets the Sky" has to have come from!

  • This is the colorful Aracari, specifically the Collared Aracari found from Mexico down through Colombia & Venezuela. I photographed this beauty during my annual Costa Rican wildlife workshop. These beautiful birds are smaller than their larger cousins, the Yellow Throated and Keel-billed Toucans...but they are still a part of the toucan family. They mainly eat fruit but will snack on large insects, eggs, and even the eggs of other birds if hungry.

  • The Eyelash Pit Viper (Bothriechis schlegelii) is an incredible species of snake found in parts of Central and South America. These smaller vipers are arboreal (live in trees) and are ambush predators. They get their name "Eyelash" because of the scales that can be found above their eyes. This beautiful species comes in various "color morphs" that can drastically alter the color patterns found on these snakes. I like to call this particular one the "Xmas Morph" as it is green with hints of red/tan color patterns.

  • It is hard to beat the adorable factor of a wild, four-month-old, Three-toed sloth found in the jungles of Costa Rica. My workshop clients and I spent at least 30 minutes with her as she moved through this tree. I had never seen a young one this close before! Be sure to swipe left to see the full image!

  • Keel-billed Toucans are both incredibly funny looking and insanely beautiful birds. Their colorful beaks are almost purely hollow, making them very lightweight. They can be found in central and South America, but only Brazil has them listed as their national bird.
