  • The train Cemetery in Uyuni, Bolivia is an incredible destination for astro photographers to get creative. The skies are so dark in this region that you can get Milky Way photos even as the approaching sunrise begins to lighten up the horizon. What an amazing destination!   • When it comes to wildlife photography, nothing on the planet can match the incredible experience of seeing Silverback Gorillas in the wild. These magnificent creatures have made a massive turnaround from almost going extinct in the early 90s to a healthy and growing population of over 1,200 individuals (between Uganda, Rwanda, and the Congo). I just wrapped up my annual Uganda Wildlife Workshop, and my clients had several incredible photo opportunities with these animals. Is photographing Gorillas on your bucket list?   • I think it is safe to say that the Fennec Fox is one of the cutest animals on the planet. These large eared mammals are found in Northern Africa in the deserts of the Western Sahara. Their large ears help them not only listen for prey, but also stay cool in the intense heat found in the region. Be sure to swipe to the left to see the full image!   • A female leopard enjoys a late afternoon rest in a tree found in South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. What I love about this image that was shot with a Sony a1 and the 400mm f/2.8 GM lens is that I had to use a high ISO of 10,000 because light was fading as we were quickly approaching dusk. But between the high ISO performance of the a1 and the advances in AI based noise reduction options via 3rd party software, the results still come out incredibly sharp and clean.   • The Variable Bush Viper is easily one of the most photogenic of the vipers I have found throughout my travels around Africa. Otherwise known as Atheris Squamigera, these beautiful snakes are endemic to parts of West, Central and Eastern Africa. They are arboreal, spending most of their time up in trees waiting to ambush their prey. This particular snake we found near the top of a 40 ft tree while searching for venomous creatures in the jungle of Uganda. Be sure to swipe to the left to see all the details of this one!   • This is the Green and Black Poison Dart Frog (Dendrobates auratus), also known as the green-and-black poison arrow frog and green poison frog. These beautiful creatures can be natively found in Central America and Columbia but did you know that they have been introduced into Hawaii to help lower the mosquito population on the islands?
