About Me

Colby is a photographer, photo educator and author based out of Eastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in landscape, travel and wildlife photography, his body of work spans the four corners of the globe and covers all 7 continents. 

He is also the founder of the humanitarian photo organization The Giving Lens, which blends the art form of photography with the focus and purpose of giving back to those in need around the world.

  • The slot canyons found in the South West of the US are not only fascinating but incredibly beautiful as well. I have always been drawn to the intense colors found in these canyons, especially as the sun and shadows dance along the walls during the brightest parts of the day.   • One of my favorite places in the world for Astro Photography has to be Bolivia. Been the incredible landscapes, remote nature of most of my favorite locations and the insanely dark skies, photographing the Milky Way from this region of South America is truly an amazing experience in and of itself!   • One of the most amazing destinations for Astro Photography on the planet has to be Bolivia and the famous Salar de Uyuni. Home to the world's largest salt flats, this incredible dark sky location not only allows you to see more stars in the night sky than just about anywhere else on Earth...but if you time your trip right with the end of the rainy season, you can get mirrored reflections from the pooling water across parts of the salar.
