About Me

Colby is a photographer, photo educator and author based out of Eastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in landscape, travel and wildlife photography, his body of work spans the four corners of the globe and covers all 7 continents. 

He is also the founder of the humanitarian photo organization The Giving Lens, which blends the art form of photography with the focus and purpose of giving back to those in need around the world.

  • The power of waterfalls can surely be felt when visiting a place such as Iceland. So much beauty...so many waterfalls...never enough time! When was your last Iceland adventure?
  • How amazing would it be to swim with wild Manta Rays in Komodo National Park? Simply put... INCREDIBLE! While I am out here working on a few photography projects involving venomous snakes and Komodo Dragons, I couldn't help myself getting a little snorkeling in while I am here. Luckily June is Manta Ray season...which means there are plenty of them around in the waters out here. While Komodo has world class diving sites, some say that snorkeling here is better than diving in many other spots around the world!   • One of my favorite accessories to use with landscape photography has to be a CPL or Circular Polarizer. In a situation like this, it can cut the light reflecting off the water, allowing you to easily see through the water to the incredible rocks below in the foreground.
