About Me

Colby is a photographer, photo educator and author based out of Eastern Pennsylvania. Specializing in landscape, travel and wildlife photography, his body of work spans the four corners of the globe and covers all 7 continents. He has been a Sony Ambassador and Sony Artisan since 2015.

He is also the founder of the humanitarian photo organization The Giving Lens, which blends the art form of photography with the focus and purpose of giving back to those in need around the world.



  • Morocco is home to the beautiful sandgrouse bird. They come in a variety of species like the Spotted, Crowned, and Black-bellied, and they can be found in the arid, stony, and desert regions of the Sahara.   • I want to introduce you to one of the most unique birds on the planet...the Shoebill! With a height of over 5 ft and a wingspan of nearly 8 feet, the Shoebill is a massive, prehistoric-looking bird. You can't look at this creature and NOT think "Dinosaur"! These carnivorous birds tend to be solitary and are critically threatened, with only 5,000-8000 individuals left on earth. You can find them in freshwater swamps and marshes in East Africa, specifically Uganda, South Sudan and Zambia.
