I became a photographer back in 2006, rapidly rising in the ranks of the photo industry. IÂ created my company, Colby Brown Photography, to offer my services to the public and corporations. I spent countless hours studying the latest photography techniques, exploring camera technology and photo editing. This learning curve opened my eyes to the world of photography education by exploring the world and using these techniques in the field.
I was leading photography workshops for National Geographic in South America, further spurring my love for both travel and photo education. Over the years, I have developed photography workshops that take you to wondrous locations around the globe while teaching the different disciplines of photography. Each workshop is carefully planned to offer the best scenic locations to create memorable adventure while allowing me to share my knowledge and experience.Â
Today, I am a professional photographer, photo educator and author living in Eastern Pennsylvania with my family. The meticulously researched photography workshops I created, specialize in landscape, travel and wildlife photography, I am fortunate to work all over the globe, across all 7 continents, documenting various cultures, environments and species in pursuit of capturing life on this planet. Following my heart and my passions, I dedicate a lot of my time to working with small NGOs, charities and initiative programs while on the road. The 2018 Patagonia workshop was the first with Colby, and I did not go home disappointed. I have taken many workshops before, but this was the most educational and fun ever. I just wish the PUMA that Colby has ordered showed up 🙂
I had been debating a trip to the Dolomites for some time. After going on this workshop the only thing I regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. Just some amazing scenes to photograph and experience. Pedro’s knowledge of the area made we’re very beneficial in having us at the locations we needed to be and when we needed to be there. And he also knows the best places for pizza. Win-Win!!!
My favorite part of this workshop in the Dolomites was the hike up to Cinque Torri followed by the spectacular sunset from the top. The hike up to Tre Cime is also a must-do!
