I became a photographer back in 2006, rapidly rising in the ranks of the photo industry. I created my company, Colby Brown Photography, to offer my services to the public and corporations. I spent countless hours studying the latest photography techniques, exploring camera technology and photo editing. This learning curve opened my eyes to the world of photography education by exploring the world and using these techniques in the field.
I was leading photography workshops for National Geographic in South America, further spurring my love for both travel and photo education. Over the years, I have developed photography workshops that take you to wondrous locations around the globe while teaching the different disciplines of photography. Each workshop is carefully planned to offer the best scenic locations to create memorable adventure while allowing me to share my knowledge and experience.
Today, I am a professional photographer, photo educator and author living in Eastern Pennsylvania with my family. The meticulously researched photography workshops I created, specialize in landscape, travel and wildlife photography, I am fortunate to work all over the globe, across all 7 continents, documenting various cultures, environments and species in pursuit of capturing life on this planet. Following my heart and my passions, I dedicate a lot of my time to working with small NGOs, charities and initiative programs while on the road. The workshop start5ed in Milan with strangers and ended 9 days later as friends with a shared experience that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. Pedro and Ugo are excellent drivers, guides and teachers. We had a blast sharing stories over pizzas,, pastas, beer and wine at dinner after long days of hiking and shooting. My pictures came out pretty good too!
This was my first workshop ever and I was so happy I went on this one. Colby and Pedro and they were so welcoming and personable. They were both so eager to help and answer any question at any time. I learned so much from this workshop and the accommodations were great and the locations were perfect!
