BEHIND THE LENS – LIFE OF A PRO LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHER

Being a “photographer” is a very romanticized profession. While there certainly are a ton of perks, life isn’t always so glamorous as traveling around the globe, taking photos of beautiful locations and “living the life”. For me, when I am out on location shooting, like I am right now (connecting via a tethered cell phone to my macbook air), this is my life. I sleep in my Subaru Outback or in tent. I am up both late at night and early in the morning and I am usually scouting locations and or editing work during the day. There is not much room for sleep or a shower or comfort for that matter…..

but at the end of the day. I would not trade my life for anything. I am living MY dream, especially when my family is able to come along and experience the beauty of this planet that I get to try to capture every chance I get.
